Project Description:
The Los Angeles Convention Center is a state-of-the-art facility on a 35-acre site that took twelve years of preliminary studies, planning and design work. The finished building encompassed 2.2 million square feet.
Dynalectric added 41.2MW of transformer capacity to the original system for a total of 52.5MW for distribution through four main DWP vaults. Dynalectric added two main vaults, nineteen satellite stations and over 400 lighting and power distribution panels. The project required approximately 25,000 light fixtures, 350 special floor power centers, and more than 1,000 exit signs and we distributed power to over 3,000HP of HVAC equipment. The amount of wire used to complete this facility was enough to reach from Los Angeles to New York City and back.
