 Project Description:
Redline Tunnels B251 E and F are two twin underground tunnels. The tunnels are two miles in length and run under Hollywood Boulevard between Vermont and Vine Avenue. Dynalectric took over this project after the original contractor completed the boring of the two tunnels. Ten cross-passages were set up to allow passage between tunnels and emergency access above ground. We provided overhead conduit, tunnel lighting and 480V power receptacles. One of the most difficult aspects of the project was the constant maintenance required for temporary construction power and communication. Over five miles of wireway was installed along the tunnel walkway of the B251 tunnels B, C, D, E, and F for control wiring.
