Dynalectric Achieves 1,000,000 Labor Hours Worked Without A Lost-Time Accident, Receives Multiple Safety Awards

LOS ALAMITOS, CA, April 30, 2010 - Dynalectric in Los Angeles recently received a 2010 Golden Gate Award from Cal/OSHA for exemplary safety practices; this honor follows other safety awards received earlier this year, and culminates with Dynalectric also recently achieving a milestone of 1,000,000 labor hours worked without a lost-time accident (between the period November 2008 - March 2010).

Dynalectric's Recent Awards for Safety Excellence:

  • 2010 Golden Gate Award from Cal/OSHA for work on the Riverside Energy Resource Center; Dynalectric installed all electrical systems for this new 96-megawatt power plant.
  • Two 2010 Terry V. Perkins Awards from IBEW-NECA (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers-National Electrical Contractors Association). Awarded for work on the (1) North Hollywood ATSAC (Automated Traffic Surveillance and Control), Dynalectric's scope of work included installation of video cameras, traffic signals and fiber optic cable; and (2) Transportation Agreement (awarded to companies performing transportation work under the agreement of Local 11 and the LA chapter of NECA), for exemplary safety performance as a company, overall.
  • 2009 Terry V. Perkins Award from IBEW-NECA, for work on the Golden State ATSAC; Dynalectric installed a conduit system for fiber optic and camera control systems, as well as traffic signals, loop detection, and intersection crossings, connecting the San Fernando Valley traffic corridors to Los Angeles City Hall.
  • 2008 California Safety Award of Excellence from AGC (Associated General Contractors); awarded for exemplary safety performance as a company, overall.
