Electrical Construction Project Description:
The Metro Redline, B221 Wilshire/Normandie Station consists of an impressive underground three-story station, 100 feet deep by 600 feet long. Along with the many miles of embedded conduit and ground electrical system in this station, there are also two dual 1,600 amp services, four 750kva transformers, two UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and the commercial electrical systems in 6,000 feet of twin bored tunnels.
Dynalectric L.A. received the NECA 1995 "Award for Electrical Excellence" on the B221 Wilshire/Normandie Station and Line.
